So Mike and I decided to go Thursday night and kinda make it a date night just for us. We dropped the girls off at Granny's house and headed to Olive Garden in Spartanburg. We had a great time together and hope to be able to do it more often. We didn't use all the money on the gift card, so maybe we will get another date night out of this wonderful gift. Thanks so much for the gift......you know who you are. Hehe!!!!!
The Bible says in Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. The Bible also says in Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord..........and Mike is my husband and I will submit to his authority in our home.
I won't however do anything that is against the word of God and I don't think he would ask me to anyway. I was a little unsure about the issue of submission because Mike isn't saved, but a good friend helped give me some Godly advise and I want to say Thank You to her....she knows who she is.
Although women were not made to be the spiritual leader in the home, when your husband isn't saved you must be that leader in your home. I just want to be the Godly wife and example that the Lord would have me to be to my husband.
Well I said all that to say this.....spend alone time with your spouse as it is very important for your relationship. Just like you spend alone time with God in his word and when you do that you grow closer to him. We should do the same with our spouses. Invest your time in the Lord first then invest time in your spouses.
Mike and I have been married for 18 years and I looking forward to many more.
Have a blessed weekend!!! See ya'll Sunday.

Great post, I believe that we all need to be closer to the Lord and also our spouses.

It sounds like you have a good plan & good counsel. I believe we will see Mike saved too! He is on my heart and I pray for him every service. Oooh that will be an exciting day when he sees his need for the Saviour!! Thank you for your thoughts about our spouses. We all need to be reminded of that!
Thanks so much for your comments, Kelly and for your prayers.
And I want to thank Amy for your comment too!
Thanks ya'll.
