We have known each other for awhile as we attend Church together and work together in one the Patch classes on Wednesday nights, but in the last few months the Lord has allowed us to grow closer. They are such a sweet couple!
We are very proud of both of them and were honored to participate in their blessed event. It was a beautiful ceremony! Jenn the Bride was absolutely beautiful....she looked like she stepped right out of a magazine!!

I am posting lots of pics!! Some from the wedding/ reception Saturday! Enjoy!!!

Congratulations John and Jenn!!!!
Have a great week!

Dr. Larry Brown

On Monday night, Dr. Brown, preached out of Psalm 126:1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Psalm 137:1-5 on How to get your dreams back and on Tuesday night he preached out of Job 1:10
Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. And Job 42:10
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Both services were really great, but Tuesday really spoke to my heart. It was about building hedges. The title was "Three ingredients that the devil encountered when he went to Job's house".

1. He encountered a hedge that he could not penetrate.
a. A personal hedge
b. A property hedge
c. A powerful hedge

2. He encountered a heart he could not provoke.

3. He encountered a harvest he could not prevent.

I have always tried to pray a hedge of protection around our home, around my children and also around my husband. But at times I get so busy with everyday life that I fail to do that and now I have a renewed since of urgency to make certain that I pray hedges around my home and family DAILY.

I didn't get any pics.......I am still trying to learn to remember to take my camera everywhere. You know the saying "a good blogger always has her camera"

See Ya,
Kimberly

Wonderful Sunday & Revival Starts!!

We had two great services yesterday, at church. The Lord really moved in both services, but especially in our Evening service. It was what I call a "Holy Ghost Service" with no formal preaching.....but none was necessary as it was truly a moving of the spirit of God!!! There were many people testifying as to when they got saved and what the Lord has done for them. It was wonderful. We had lots of wonderful singing and praising the Lord!!

I was saved when I was 11 years old. I don't know the exact date, but I know where I was and who helped lead me to the Lord. I felt like if I didn't get saved right then I was going to die and go to hell right at that moment. I have to say that I haven't always lived for the Lord like I should have, but he has never left me nor forsook me. During my teenage years I was very distant from the Lord and was determined to do things MY way. Believe me when I say, there have been consequences for not going God's way in my life. But, GOD is GOOD, ALL THE TIME. The best place you can ever be in smack dab in the middle of God's will for your life. In 1 John 1:9 the bible says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". AMEN!

Tonight we start our revival services with Dr. Larry Brown from North Augusta. I am looking forward to hearing what the Lord has in store for us during the next two days. I hope to receive a blessing and also to be a blessing!

Have a great week!

Good News!

For quite some time now, Mike (my husband) has been trying for a mechanic position at his current place of employment, which is Michelin. Well after months of applying and much prayer on my part as well as my girls and by many of our friends......he got the JOB!! WOOHOO! He is officially a mechanic at Michelin now. I know you're asking what is the big deal, but for us it means alot. You see at his current position he is on the swing shift....for those of you who don't know what that is, it means he is always on different shifts throughout the month. It is very hard to plan activities and things around that schedule, but don't get me wrong....I am thankful for his job. But I am looking forward to him getting to train for his new position on STRAIGHT first shift. He could do that for up to two years. Then who knows what shift he will be on, but it is in the Lord's hands. So, please continue to lift this situation up in prayer and continue to pray for his soul. Praise the Lord for answered prayers!

Hope all you bloggers out there have a wonderful week!!

Recipe

I recently tried this recipe and wanted to share it with my fellow bloggers!! It is the best tasting Chocolate Chip Cookies I've ever made. They are called Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies....my husband, Mike, had me to make 3 dozen for him to take to work today.

So here it is......I hope you enjoy!!

1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
1/4 cup and 2 tbsp white sugar
1/4 cup and 2 tbsp brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup and 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350. Grease cookie sheets. In a large bowl, cream together the butter flavored shortening, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, beating well, then stir in the vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.

Bake for 8-10 minutes in the preheated oven, until light brown. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serves: 24

Happy Cooking!!
